About Me
My name is Haibo John, and I’m a standup comedian based in Cape Town, South Africa. I was born and raised in Kempton Park, Gauteng, and after relocating to Cape Town, I fell in love with the city and its vibrant comedy scene.
As a father of two beautiful and joyful daughters, I try not to take life too seriously and find humor in the everyday events that unfold around us. Whether it’s a funny encounter on the street or a witty observation about current events, I’m always looking for ways to bring a smile to people’s faces.
I spend a lot of time keeping up with current affairs and broadening my general knowledge, which allows me to offer tailor-made content for comedy shows that is relevant to different audiences. I believe that comedy has the power to challenge norms and make people think, and I’m not afraid to push the boundaries in a respectful and funny way.
